For Mother's Day yesterday Daddy took us on a picnic! It was so nice to enjoy the outdoors and not have to plan or cook anything all day! The kids had a ball of course.
Getting ready to eat.
Goofy girl eating watermelon.
After we ate we took a walk down to the river to throw some rocks in the water.
Some of us "ran" down!
We showed Keaton how to blow the dandelion seeds.... hope we don't get any in our yard or we may have a massive problem!
Tiana thought that was neat until she tried to do it which just ends up in her eating it!
I found her a flower to hold and then got myself in a predicament because every flower she saw she had to go pick.
Her collection.
Tiana tried to throw rocks in just like big brother and daddy.... she would either forget to let go of the rock or it would just drop to the ground by her feet for her to pick it up and try again. Not that this discouraged her, she thought she was doing it!
This big rock almost took Keaton in with it! He forgot to let go soon enough, good thing that Daddy has quick reflexes. The next time he just held onto Keaton so it didn't get the best of him.
Of course where there is water Keaton MUST be in it no matter the temperature.
Whatever big brother does, this little girl must try to do also!
They love to hold hands right now and it is just so very cute.
We ended the afternoon on the playground of course. Keaton had to try out the rock climbing wall.
Getting a little scary!
This morning we were all ready for meeting with time to spare so we attempted to get a Mother's Day photo.....
Being a mom is one of the best things in the world. I love every minute of it and am so luck to have such a wonderful family. I am so Thankful for my mom and mother-in-law who not only are great examples but are wonderful role models for my kids. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I enjoy reading about your day to day lives, it makes me feel like all our craziness is quite normal!
On a side note..... we had an attack of the sand monster.... aka..... Keaton. We were getting dinner on and just left the door open and they were playing. I glanced outside after hearing this quite suspicious little evil laugh out of my boy. Sissy was covered in sand and he was dumping another bucket full on her head.... we put a swift stop to this before any more damage was done. We had to laugh though (when he wasn't looking of course) because Sis was having so much fun, not complaining ONE bit, that and she just looked hilarious. We are off to attempt family photos and those one year photos of our little girl.... wish us luck.... Tiana woke up on the wrong side of the bed today!
