The rest of our weekend

We have quite the play group that we get together with regularly.  The kids play for hours on end together while us moms chat and relax.  This is all but two of the little ones eating lunch!  Yes, that is 12 kids 4 and under with two more on the way!!! We love it!

That and of course we get some cousin time too which is always a good thing!

Tiana getting her turn holding Winston while big brother Remington looks on!

Also this weekend was Nana's birthday so on Sunday we had my family over for dinner!  I just love that on one side of the family the kids have lots of cousins and on the other side they have fun Uncles and an Auntie to play with!!!
Making faces with Uncle Derek on the top bunk!

Getting Chelsea!

The kids are getting big enough that when they gang up on an adult they can knock you over!

Boise State

We started the weekend with the first Boise State home game!  The kids have been looking forward to this for so long!  Camden doesn't remember last year so this was all a new experience for him and he LOVED it!!!  We are so surprised that he even had any voice left today because he screamed and yelled the ENTIRE time... "GO Broncos" "First down, Move da chains" "Boise State Broncos" "Get em" "Touchdown!" and then he repeated anything he heard the announcer say or anything that Daddy yelled! So adorable!  He also had a pom-pom that was being shook the whole time.

Keaton is having a Boise State birthday party in a couple of weeks so we attempted to get a cute one of him for his invite!

His "mean" look!

Tiana's pose!

Orange Hair!

At the end of the game he discovered the joy of binoculars!!

Matching Skirts

I have done a little bit of sewing these past couple weeks.  One pair of capri pants for Tiana are a little big so I will wait to show those until next summer.  I have had this knit for a couple years just waiting to become a skirt for me.  I just don't sew much for myself and am a little bit intimidated by it.  However, I love how this turned out and it was fast and easy.  I have some extra wide elastic that I used for the waist band which made it really easy and comfortable. I used a knit skirt that I really like as a pattern for this one.

This is a shirt that I did at the beginning of the summer but I keep forgetting to get photos of it when I wear it!  I had an old white shirt that I just hand sewed some antique doilies on.  I love how simple it is but also how it dresses up an otherwise boring shirt!

I wrapped it around the back a little bit too.
AND for Tiana's skirt... see this is why I usually just sew for her... she looks adorable in EVERYTHING!  I used this tutorial (which happened to be the perfect measurements).  Her and I match but not the same style.  She loves it of course... anything ruffled and comfy is a hit!

I will never tire of seeing these on my patio!  Tiana is our little artist, she loves drawing people and flowers!  Everyday more little details are added.

Love it!!!!

Conversation of the Day

Me: How about we go to the Y tonight and go swimming!
Keaton: But are you sure that it is open...
Me: Yes, I am sure.
Keaton: But how do you know...
Me: Just trust me Keaton, I wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't open.
Keaton: You said last week that it was closed because they were cleaning it.
Me: YES I know, I was there just last night though and they were open... JUST TRUST ME... Mommy knows EVERYTHING!!!
Keaton: (laughs) EVERYTHING, I doubt that!

Two Minutes Later.....

Keaton: When we live out in the country I want a telescope!
Me: A telescope... really... do you even know what that is???  Keaton, what is a telescope!?!
Keaton:  (laughing) What, you don't even know what a telescope is!!!!  I TOLD you that you don't know EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Maybe we have a future lawyer on our hands!

Camping

We added to our Labor Day weekend and went camping for a couple days.  We decided to go up to Hazard Lake up above McCall.  We have been here quite a bit but not for a few years.  We had a great time but it was REALLY cold at night!  We ended up having two of the kids in bed with us!  Tiana is TERRIFIED of the dark which does not work out really well for camping... so she was beside us... Camden was freezing so he was between us!  Needless to say we ended up heading back the next evening so that we didn't have to have another sleepless night!

While we set up camp the kids gathered wood for a fire!

There were plenty of rocks to play on... this is the one that Tiana falls off of later in the evening.  It doesn't look that bad from this side but the other side drops off to make about a 6 foot tall rock!!!

A tent site makes for a great sand box!

Attempting to climb a pine tree!

Camden was busy eating an oreo and Tiana was having a little fit!
All ready to go on a boat ride!

Poor little girl!  She was climbing on a big rock (6 foot tall) and fell off... we were VERY lucky that all she ended up with was surface scratches and no broken bones!!!!!

It is SO nice that the kids love the boat enough for Daddy to take them out by himself!

She HAD to have a band aid on her nose of course!

Eating marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate!

Showing their muscles!

We took a hike one afternoon.  The kids did pretty good, I had to carry Tiana back the last 1/2 mile but other than that they loved it.

Camden talked the ENTIRE way.  "Look it, tree.... look pretty flowers.... look snakes" (any tree root that stuck out of the ground he called a snake!)

Needless to say, Daddy was happy to have him walk for awhile... the commentary did not stop though.

He was VERY slow because he didn't miss a thing... and he had to make sure that I didn't either!

We didn't get all the way to the lake but we stopped by the stream.  Daddy (and Tiana) were catching grasshoppers and then throwing them in the pond.  10-15 fish would immediately fight over the grasshopper jumping all the way out of the water to get them!

Looking for grasshoppers!

LOVE this!

Giving kisses... no wonder he wasn't very fond of them!

Dirty little monkey!

We were packing up camp and Tiana was being her normal goofy self!

Camden has this new habit.  When he is mad at me he sighs (very loudly) and crosses his arms!!  It is adorable!

Keaton copying Camden!

Every day camping the kids brought me flowers, I put them all in a glass and enjoyed them all weekend.
We spent the rest of the weekend in New Meadows, watching the BSU game and relaxing!  We just love our time there and love having a house to stay in whenever we get a chance!

Daddy and his biggest fisher-girl!

We then came home to Preschool and Pre-K starting up!
Tiana has done WONDERFUL.  I expected tears and a bit of a battle but nope... she has loved it from day 1.  She hasn't really made any little friends yet but she LOVES her teacher which is the important part!

Keaton of course has done great at Pre-K... no surprise there though.  One little boy in his class was in his class for a few months last year too... they immediately were fast friends.
