Happy Campers

We had a wonderful time camping over the 4th of July! The kids did great! Tiana slept through the night every night even though it was cold. Keaton came away with about 20 mosquito bites, 2 skinned knees and a huge grin! He loved running through the woods 100 miles an hour. On the way up while driving they had the rumble strip along the road. We briefly hit it and we hear Keaton exclaim from the back seat, "Whoa, dat's SCARY" then immediately he started saying More! From then on he has been consistently been putting 2 or 3 words together. "Uh-Oh spaghetti oh" is a current favorite expression that we hear every few minutes.

Big blue eyes. The cheesiest grin a little boy can muster before bed. Sacked out by the fire.
Grandma and Grandpa brought a bat and ball for Keaton. Daddy found a little branch that worked nicely as a tee! Keaton's favorite thing though was to chase the ball after Daddy hit it into the woods.

Taking a spin in the Kayak. Keaton hated the life jacket but was fine as long as he could put his hands and feet in the water.

During Keaton's nap Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids so Mommy and Daddy could go fishing. Keaton didn't mind the fish since by that point they had been all cleaned and weren't moving.
They still were a bit slimy though.

We tried out the dutch oven for the first time. We made apple crisp and peach cobbler... both of which turned out perfect. We ate so much wonderful food.
Keaton giving the girls in his life a BIG hug.

This is what we saw most of the time out of our little boy..... run run run.....
... lay down and rest.....
.... then run around like crazy some more.
We now call this his happy dance because any time he gets hyper he runs around jumping clapping and flapping his arms all the while laughing.

We got our boy his own sleeping bag which he thought was pretty neat. He did great in it and it sure helped keep him warm.
Auntie Krystal looking all cute and pregnant as we walk around the lake!

Marshmallows between Grandma's cookies.... mmmmm!
Keaton with his adored Auntie Krystal.
And then with Mommy.
Uncle Todd getting some practice. He was the resident burper all camping trip!
Only the cutest little girl ever...

The best toy in camp!
Auntie Krystal and Uncle Todd had Tiana so that we could take Keaton fishing one evening. He did good and liked the fish until one got loose and splashed around in the boat. From then on he liked them in the water away from him! As soon as he would see the fish in the water he would start saying "Bye Bye Fish".
Bath time for a filthy little boy! He LOVED taking a bath outside. He talked about it for hours.
Trying to get EVERYONE wet.
On the way home there was quite the traffic jam so Keaton got to sit in the front and eat chips!

We had a great time and are so glad that family was there to help keep an eye on Keaton. There were so many things he couldn't get into that he would walk around pointing to things and saying "no no". At least he is pretty obedient and there were lots of eyes to keep in out of too much trouble. Tiana of course soaked up lots of cuddle time and got spoiled!

Looks like you guys had a fun fourth as well! Camping always creates the best memories for kids I think!
