Life

After a wonderful evening with my husband and 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep on Friday night we were more than ready for this week! We had a great time just hanging out going to Saturday Market before getting the kids before nap time. Nana and Papa survived but she says she can sympathize with me now when I call completely maxed out! The kids did great just your normal 18 and a half month age difference giving you a run for your money! Mommy and Daddy sure enjoyed a little time together though. It sure is amazing though.... during a normal day half of your brain is always on what the kids are doing/needing and what they will be doing/needing. This does not turn off when they aren't there! I knew this before but it was made real again this past weekend.
Tiana is ONE month old already and holding her head up like a champ! We had a day last week where Tiana fought to stay awake from 1 in the afternoon until 6:30 when she finally couldn't fight it any more! She was wiggling around and I was holding both kids... she finally fell asleep leaning on her much adored big brother.
Showing off the new convention haircut!
Our goofy boy LOVES cucumbers. If he has a choice this is all that he will eat. When we have them we use them as bribery to eat the rest of his meal! He was helping Mommy get dinner ready and swiped the one that I was cutting up.
Sissy can see a really long ways now. She loves watching her mobile and her brother running around crazy. This morning we got LOTS of smiles. Keaton still gets the biggest smiles out of her. We will see if we can get some for her one month photos tomorrow. She has also started to coo just a little bit. It takes all she can muster to get out a littly noise but it is so cute.
Filling Out! Not surprising when you see how much she eats!
A couple Keatonism's:
He likes to lead you around by the hand to show you what he wants or needs.
Daddy told him to go "get" Mommy and when I saw him coming I said "Oh no, are you going to get me?". Now he runs around going "Get me" instead of "Get you".
Yesterday he came up to me with Daddy's bible case pulled on his arm, carrying it like a shoulder bag and exclaimed "Go Meeting". So glad that this is an exciting thing, we hope to keep it that way.
He is learning so many words right now it is hard to even begin keeping track but here are a few more:
"Swing" "Krickle" (Krystal) "Codd" (Todd) "Meeting" "Play" "Smile" "Cryin" (usually sissy cryin in case I hadn't heard) "Blan" (Blanket) "tee" (tree) mean mean (green bean)
He has continued to be a WONDERFUL big brother who adores his sister like you wouldn't believe.... the feeling is very much mutual between the two of them.
