Flamingos, beach, and fried ice cream

First we will backtrack a bit since we just got the photos off of Nana's camera.

These were taken the first day we got on the beach:

This is where you can tell we are in the Caribbean! 

 Today we took a little trip this morning to some shopping... wasn't that great but we got something for each of the kids!  We got to see a baby Ikea... seriously what you see was all there was!  We had a good laugh about it and then used their tiny but clean restrooms! 

 The second place was a market on the beach... we enjoyed this for the scenery!

 

 We spent the rest of the afternoon doing our usual laying on the beach! 

This was awesome... the guy was jumping the boat!

We then had dinner and fried ice cream!  The kids were quite amazed and didn't believe that they lit our ice cream on fire so here is proof!

 I will leave you with a bit of a circus show... complete with a monkey!

All that playing with the palm trees landed Papa a coconut on the head! ;)  Papa, palm trees are for monkeys!

Lazy Beach Day

What did we do today... well we mainly just laid on the beach, read books, took a nap and watched this guy! They have these huge beds... like the one out the back of our room... on the beach! Hello perfect place to nap!

 Tonight we had the awards banquet.

Dominican Republic

We are now enjoying some much needed R&R in the Dominican Republic.  This is the Chief rewards business trip... the same trip that took us to Maui last year.  We flew all night so today we had a relaxing day laying on the beach!

I got approval to use an air cast for on the beach, it felt SO good to get out of the boot for a bit!

Bowling

We are doing a catch up for what we were up to in February.  On the 1st I got rear ended while driving with the kids so our month has been busy with doctor and chiro appointments.  The kids are all fine, Keaton had whiplash bad but is now better.  My ankle was doing GREAT, I had 2 days of no pain and then got rear ended... in slamming on the brakes I fractured my ankle!  So it has been a long month!  I have been back in the walking boot and I had an MRI done on Saturday to see the damage.

We took the kids bowling for the first time a few weeks ago!  They had a blast!

 Valentine's Day!  We had a low key Valentine's Day with homemade heart shaped Pizza and cinnamon rolls!

 We had a sewing weekend with a few other mom's around here!  It was a sewing workshop that we made a skirt pattern for ourselves!  The kids did great!
