Bruneau Sand Dunes

Yesterday we drove out to Bruneau sand dunes for a day in the sun and sand.  The kids had a blast. Camden and Tiana would just sit and dig in the sand while Keaton ran up and down the dunes!

Tiana's asthma has been bothering her a bit so the climb was hard for her but she did it... with her sunglasses on of course!

Camden wanted to be right where everyone else was, understandable but a little nerve wracking to have him take off down the dune!

Tiana tried too and had fun but couldn't make it back up to the top!

Which of course made Keaton want a ride too.

This is when Keaton discovered the joy of sliding/jumping/rolling down the dune!

Camden thought that looked fun so he was going to try his hardest to go up too!  He didn't get very far.

We had a wonderful time once again.  What is great about the kids being close in age is even when we go somewhere with no one else, they have each other.  They fell asleep soon after we got them cleaned up and in the car!

This girl....

This little girl, while she is quite adorable, she is also the biggest mess maker.  She reminds me of Gretal..... leaving a train of bread crumbs, (or in her case, toys) from room to room.

She was in her room all of a couple of minutes and this is what I find.... it WAS clean, bed made, etc, then Tiana came along looking for something I guess!

And she walks off.... and this mess spreads from her room... to the living room... to the bathroom... you get the picture!

I took a few photos of her this evening for a lady that makes her hair clips!

She is a cutie but man oh man do I get tired of telling her to clean up her stuff!!!!!!

For my nephew

I have had a lot of people comment lately that it is hard to sew for boys.  And I agree it is easier to sew up cute dresses for girls, however, I can't get enough of making cute T-shirts for little boys.  You can always find cheap plain t's and it is so rewarding to embellish them to your liking!  I have started a tradition of making my nephews (and soon a niece) birthday shirts to go with their theme.  Remington is having a baseball party here in another month and we are doing photos for his invitations this week.  I found this adorable stripe t-shirt at Target (my usual go-to place is Old Navy but they didn't have red!).  I haven't done much with stripes but I really like the look.  I appliqued a baseball on the front...

 I sewed messy stitching around it a few times and also for the little lines and then with embroidery thread I added the red stitching.

The back says All Star and then of course a number 2 since it is his second birthday!

 I stitched around in navy and then red and then added some floss in red, just for fun!

 The All Star is freezer paper stenciled on and then I took floss and hand sewed around the entire thing!  Time consuming, yes, worth it for the look, of course!

Camden loves it so I am guessing it will be a hit for Remington too!
