38 Weeks 2 Days

We took some pregnancy photos this past Tuesday of me and the kids. Works out rather well to own a studio and have a mom and husband that do a great job of clicking the camera after it is all set up and ready! I am usually not a huge fan of pregnancy photos especially of me since I just feel fat in them.... however I must admit that we did have fun. It was fun to do them with the kids.... somewhat takes the focus off of just me I suppose! Anyways, we had our appointment today with my doctor who is back from her vacation!!! I am 70% effaced and dilated to a 3, so my contractions are working and moving things right along. She is going to see me again next Wednesday and will try to get things moving which will be nice!

Tiana 14 Months

We took some 14 month photos of Tiana this past week. The wheat is golden so we decided to try some in the field.... the sun was SO bright that we got a few but mainly we ended up in the shade. Keaton got in on a few this time also. I can't believe how much her hair has filled in this past month.

Water Fight

Daddy and the kids went out back to water the pots... Tiana decided to take an impromptu swim before the pool was emptied.
Since she was already wet and Keaton was really wanting to be, Daddy turned the hose on them much to their surprise and excitement.
Ducking her head to run through the shower.

Looks like Daddy won the water fight! Keaton was asking for the hose but Daddy was smart enough to not fall for that!

On a Keaton side note: He informed me today that he had to go potty BUT "You stay here, I will be right back". I was not allowed in the bathroom at all.... he even checked halfway there to make sure I wasn't following him! We have been trying to get him to do it himself and he would if we made him. All of the sudden today he has decided that he doesn't need my help and he is quite proud of himself!

4th of July weekend

We had so many things to try to get done at home that we had a low key 4th of July. We started out the day by going and getting fireworks for the kids.
Daddy had sunglasses on so therefore both kids need theirs on too of course.

Can't get enough of these blue eyes.
Nana and Papa joined us for Dinner and fireworks in the evening. We got the kids the little popper fireworks and they loved them. Daddy clearing the way for Sissy who you never knew when she would throw it or where!

The little shoulder shrug... we see this all the time when she is being shy, or in this case Keaton had one go off right behind her.

Seeing the fireworks in the box. Needless to say they were both easy to please!
We tried sparklers which they liked but made us quite nervous!

Waiting patiently for another one from Daddy.
These little fountains were Tiana's favorite. She didn't mind the popping noise but REALLY didn't like any squealing. We lucked out and only had two in the entire box of fireworks that had any sort of squealing noise.

Keaton loved all of them and his favorite part was getting to choose which one we got to see next.

Tiana discovered a good use for my baby bump...... it makes a great pillow.
The other thing that was accomplished this weekend was my birthday present from Daddy was moved to it's resting spot. He made me a potting bench. It turned out beautiful and has been sitting in our garage until we could landscape an area in the back and put pavers down. He had a great time building it and it turned out perfect. Now we just need to get some more plants to beautify the area around it.
Sunday after meeting we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for a late BBQ. Tiana finished off my ear of corn. It is getting quite crazy around there with 4 kids now.... we will soon be adding to that of course. I am just so glad that we are now not the only ones with a little bit of craziness going on.

These are two of Tiana's favorite things... well three if you count her pacifier, but she only has that when she is sleeping or in meeting. Last night she was so sleepy after bath that I gave her her pacifier, blanket and bunny to stall her until 8.
When all these things are in her possession she is one HAPPY girl. Even just her blanket and bunny usually do the trick. Grammy made her this blanket and she sleeps with it and just loves it.
Love these eyes.

One last little update on Tiana, she has another bottom tooth and two molars in now! She has really been drooling and I forgot about molars until we discovered them on Sunday night.

This last Week....

Well we had a rather eventful last week starting out on Monday with my 36 week appt. To make a long story short I spent the day in the hospital in Labor and Delivery.... however not to worry all is well. It was quite the wake up call to get things done around here though. Basically each exam gives me pretty intense contractions. Today's appointment went a better. They were VERY careful and still I have had to take it easy today. I am 50-60% effaced, lost my plug, and last week I was between a 1 and 2 cm dilated. This week I was more dilated but she didn't want to see how much more because she didn't want to put me into labor yet... my doctor doesn't get back in town until next week. I have dropped quite a bit in the last week and really progressed with LOTS of contractions so things are moving right along. We spent this entire last week getting all ready for baby and I think we are there! The crib set is made... however we have decided not to move Tiana out of the crib until a later date. The bedroom for the boys is rearranged and clothes are clean and put away as well as bags packed. Now after all of this we will be late of course! That is how it works but at least it made me get everything all ready so that I can relax a bit these last few weeks. I have lots of photos to post from the 4th but they will be coming tomorrow.
A little update on Keaton:
He has grown up SO much these past couple weeks. He is now always saying "What you talkin about Mom?", "What you doing?", "What is that?".... etc. He is trying really hard to learn what day of the week it is.... usually it is always Tuesday... however Daddy told him tonight that tomorrow was Tuesday so he asked him what today would be. Keaton responded "Monday"!
Also a little story from during convention... we were on our way home in the evening and I was talking about how the nursery door is really hard to get shut and it always gets slammed when Keaton started repeating over and over "slam it" only it came out with a d sound instead of an sl.... this solicited quite the reaction from the front seat. We were telling him how that is a bad word and not to say it while being QUITE confused as to WHERE he would have heard this from CONVENTION! He of course was really confused also and kept saying trying to clear the air. We then threatened to flick him if he didn't stop. He proceeded in saying "flick you" with no l which in turn also sounded bad!!!!! After a completely stunned look at one another we realized that he was trying to say flick.... which is now a word that is not uttered in this household! Then I went back over our conversation and realized that we don't "slam" doors..... we now "shut " them! We got a really good laugh out of this little calamity of errors and Keaton giggled along very confused as to WHAT his parents problem was! Goes to show that while learning to talk you can't always assume what you hear is what they are actually saying!

Video Time

Two things that we see most every evening. Ring-around-the-Rosie and lots of jumping around.

Here is a little video of the kids with the little popper fireworks on the 4th. They loved them and Tiana was just hilarious because half the time she would forget to let go of it when she threw them.
