Gone for a Minute and....

So I went to the bathroom yesterday..... which does not amount to very much time AT ALL..... especially considering the size of my bladder these days. Well I come back into the study to discover a tornado seems to have touched down. Tiana was rather suspicious looking with dirt in her hair, mouth, nose, ears... well you get the idea... not to mention two large handfuls of dirt that she was emptying onto the couch cushion. I know that my son had a rather large part in this because of all of the leaves scattered about that only HE could have reached. He told Daddy later that he also put some dirt on Sissy... which explains the hair. They of course got in trouble and I shut them out of the study to clean up. They spent the entire time with their noses glued to the glass having quite a great time licking the glass and smearing their slobber over the window..... looks like I need to go get the glass cleaner now!
A day in the life of a mom with young children! Needless to say, inspite of all this we got the house all cleaned, laundry done, crib bumper cut out and some play time in. They helped me in that they took GREAT naps!!!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN! And just think, you'll be adding to this madness in a few weeks. But, if we have to lose our sanity, what better way to do it than with beautiful, healthy children. I learned one day when my children do things like this, I just try to remember the parents with little kids who will never get into plants, they will never lick a window, they will never sneak into the chocolate cake on the counter and then I'm reminded that I just need to be thankful for my children's health. Mind you, that doesn't mean they haven't spent their share of time with noses in the corner! :-)
